Irvin W. Pope

Irvin W. Pope, 80, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors 
Memorial Chapel, 315 E. Fifth Ave., with Chester O'Brien officiating. 
Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Mr. Pope was born in Warner, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo for the past 
60 years. He married Patsy Cox in 1934 at Guymon, Okla. He was a member of 
First Baptist Church. He served in the Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Rex Pope of Virginia Beach, Va.; and 
two brothers, Floyd E. Pope of Willow, Alaska, and Delmer C. Pope of 
Capistrana Beach, Calif.

The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association, 2404 
W. Seventh Ave., Amarillo, Texas 79106.
