Phillips PAMPA - Hazel B. Phillips, 79, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Priest Park Church of God with the Rev. Melvin E. Harris, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Phillips was born in Hardesty, Okla., and moved to Pampa in 1942. She attended high school in Pampa and Miami, Texas. She was a member of Priest Park Church of God, the Senior Ladies Class and the Ladies Ministry. She was a homemaker. She married Izah Phillips in 1936 at Miami. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Martha Organ of Pampa, June Basham of Phoenix, Ariz., and Carolyn Goodner of Guthrie, Okla.; a son, Joe Phillips of Pampa; three brothers, Clyde Cooper of Tennessee, Clarence Cooper of Carlsbad, N.M., and Johnny Cooper of Bell Gardens, Calif.; two sisters, Alice Jacobs of Manteca, Calif., and Helen Ernst of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
