Penn, 84, of Amarillo, died Thursday, March 12, 1998. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with Lee Roark, chaplain for Baptist St. Anthony's Health System, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Stratford Cemetery at Stratford. Mr. Penn was born in Greer County, Okla. He graduated from Panhandle State University at Goodwell, Okla. He retired from Carbon Black Industry in 1972 after 25 years of service. He then began working for Cimarron Feeders at Griggs, Okla., and retired from them in 1986. Mr. Penn moved to Amarillo from Texhoma, Okla., in 1992. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Hobbs, N.M., where he had been presented with his 50-year pin. He was Methodist. He married Clara Graham in 1937 at Oklahoma. She died in 1983. He married Ethelyn Brown in 1985 at Stratford. She died in 1991.
