"Gramps" Rogge, 85, died Sunday, May 9, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Hardesty United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Calvert officiating. Burial will be in the Hartville Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mr. Rogge was born in Auburn, Neb. He married Leone Simpson in 1931. He farmed with his father and brothers until 1941. He then worked for Northern Natural Gas Co. at Beatrice, Neb. as a welder and inspector until retiring in 1974. In 1976, he moved to Hardesty. He and his wife spent their winters in the Rio Grande Valley. He was a member of Hardesty United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge at Beatrice, Neb., and the Order of Eastern Star. He was preceded in death by a son, Thurl "Rockie" Rogge. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Margaret Wessler of Liberal, Kan., and Alberta Brown of Hardesty; eight grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Hardesty United Methodist Church or the Hardesty Police and Fire Department First Responders c/o Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday to greet friends.
