All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Edward Lee Rodgers GUYMON, Okla. - Edward Lee Rodgers, 75, died Thursday, May 27, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Bunch-Roberts Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mr. Rodgers was born in Bell, Calif., and was raised in Amarillo. He served in the Army from 1943 until 1946. He moved to Guymon in 1968 from Big Spring. Mr. Rodgers owned and operated the Standard Truck Stop for many years. He retired from Search Drilling Co. in Woodard as a land surveyor in 1984. He married Joy L. Cantrell in 1948 at Clovis, N.M. He was preceded in death by twin infants, Donald Ray and Linda Kay. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Fred Rodgers of Guymon and Jim Rodgers of Perry; a daughter, Dianna Hankla of Guymon; a sister, Fannie McKillip; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be to the American Heart Association c/o Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112 Guymon, OK 73942.
