All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Floyd Wilburn Ritter GUYMON, Okla. - Floyd Wilburn Ritter, 82, died Thursday, June 22, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Bunch-Roberts Chapel with the Rev. Charles Mendenhall, pastor of the Victory Center, and the Rev. Jim Maynard, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Mr. Ritter was born in Guymon. He graduated from Goodwell High School in 1938 and attended Panhandle A&M College. He served in the Army Air Corps in the South Pacific Theater during World War II. He worked at Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline as a warehouse clerk. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Elks Lodge. He married Filomena Kay Chiusano Hill in 1964 in Liberal, Kan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Ritter. Survivors include his wife; a son, K. Wayne Hill of Guymon; two brothers, Jerry Ritter of Pryor, Okla., and Russell Ritter of Sacramento, Calif.; and three sisters, Arlene Rowden of Guymon, Millie Burchfield of Hayward, Calif., and Juanita Hill of Perryton; and three grandchildren. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Memorials will be accepted at the funeral home.
