Shapley, Bertha A. 

FRIONA - Bertha A. Shapley, 91, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Friona United Methodist Church with 
the Rev. Steve Patterson, pastor, and the Rev. Mark Stovall, of First 
Baptist Church, Friona, officiating. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by 
Blackwell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shapley and her late husband, Harvey, owned and operated the Savaii 
Motel in Guymon, Okla., for 11 years. She was a member of Friona United 
Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Lewellen of Friona; a sister, Helga 
Frier of Vivorg, S.D.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 
three great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Parmer County Community Hospital in 
Friona.
