"Jim" Streeter, 83, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in W.S.&E.C. Jones Community Pavilion with Donald Hill officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Mount Carmel Cemetery at Baca County, Colo., with Donald Hill officiating. Local arrangements are by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors, and Colorado arrangements are by Dykes Mortuary of Walsh. Mr. Streeter was born on the Streeter Ranch in Baca County. He attended schools in Valley View, Colo., and Walsh. He married Laura Wray in 1940 at Guymon, Okla. They moved to Roberts County in 1953 and to Canadian in 1996. He worked with cattle and horses most of his life on ranches in Colorado, in Oklahoma on the Cimarron River Valley and along the Canadian River in Texas. For 40 years, he was a deputy in Roberts County and was a member of the Sheriff's Association of Texas. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Lonita Beaty of Tulsa, Okla., Noveta Stephenson of Canadian and Nadean Morris of Pampa; a sister, Augusta Meyeres of Jal, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great- grandchildren. The family will be at 836 Conklin in Canadian. They suggest memorials be to Hemphill County Hospice, Cal Farley's Boys Ranch & Affiliates; or a favorite charity.
