Noel E. Southern

PAMPA - Noel E. Southern, 90, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Mary Ellen and Harvester Church 
of Christ with Glen Walton, minister of North Amarillo Church of Christ, 
and Tim Walker, minister, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 
p.m. in Tyrone Cemetery at Tyrone, Okla. Arrangements are by Carmichael-
Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Southern was born in Anson. He moved to Pampa in 1962 from Tyrone. He 
worked for Cities Service Oil Co. for 20 years and farmed for many years. 
He retired in 1972. He was a member of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of 
Christ.

He married Edna Prescott in 1966 at Pampa.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Peggy Greb of Lawton, Okla.; a 
son, Ancel Southern of Pryor, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Mary Lou Winegeart of 
Pampa; a sister, Pansy McGuire of Texas City; 10 grandchildren; and 14 
great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Hospice of the Panhandle or Mary Ellen 
and Harvester Church of Christ.
