Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Amarillo Unitarian Fellowship with Davlyn Deusterhaus, Chaplain of BSA Hospice, and Pat Kennedy, pastor of St. Luke Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Schoen married Nina Stein in November 1985. He had been a resident of Amarillo since 1968. He was born in Weimar and graduated from Stephen F. Austin University. He worked for Cargill Animal Nutrition in Guymon, Okla., as a merchant. He grew up in the United Church of Christ and attended St. Luke Presbyterian. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Schoen. Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles Benton Schoen of Austin; his mother, Lillie Schoen of Weimar; a sister, Rosalie Latimer of Weimar; a brother, Larry Schoen of Lufkin; two nieces; a nephew; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, in care of Olivia's Angels, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79015. Amarillo Globe-News, June 9, 2002
