Swenson GUYMON, Okla. - Dorothy J. Swenson, 66, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Odie Nunley and the Rev. Billy Martin officiating. Arrangements are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mrs. Swenson was born in Mingus. She married O.E. "Swede'' Swenson in 1955 at Texico, N.M. They moved to Guymon in 1957 from Amarillo. She was a homemaker and cooked for the Guymon school system at Homer Long Elementary School for 16 years. She retired in 1984. She worked in several restaurants in Guymon before owning and operating the Crystal Cafe in Guymon. She was a Baptist and served as a Girl Scout leader and day camp director for many years. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Kaye Barrett of Guymon and Mary Ann Silas of Gibson, Ga.; two grandchildren; and special friends, Bobby Philippe and Sheriff Arnold People, both of Guymon.
