All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Glen Allen Smith ARLINGTON - Glen Allen Smith, 60, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens at Clovis, N.M., with Jim Prince officiating. Arrangements were by SteedTodd Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Smith was born in Vernon, S.D., and lived most of his childhood in Texas. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1955. During his 30-year career, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, seven Air Medals, Meritorious Service Medal, and an Air Force Commendation Medal, plus numerous service awards. After retiring from the Air Force, he was a ground school instructor for American Airlines until his death. He was married to Loretta Jean for 34 years. Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Allen Smith of Honolulu, Hawaii; a daughter, Kimberly Buchanan of Quantico, Va.; two brothers, Marlon Smith of Nebraska and Rodney Smith of San Diego, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
