All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Amarillo Globe News 8 Oct 1998 Harold Jack Shores TEXHOMA, Okla. - Harold Jack Shores, 77, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Christian Church with Mike Dumler officiating. Burial will be in Texhoma Cemetery by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home of Texhoma. Mr. Shores was born in Eva and spent his life in Texas County. He was a custom harvester, farmer and rancher in Eva and Texhoma community. At one time, he was employed by Texas County. In 1943, Mr. Shores joined the Army and served in New Guinea and the South Pacific during World War II as a cook. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and attended First Christian Church. He married Kathy McLeod Hooper in 1971 at Boise City. His first marriage was to Bernice Norris Huddleston in 1951. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Galen Shores of Newcastle and Terry Shores of Goodwell; a daughter, Jeanne Lathrop of Boise City; four stepchildren, Linda McDaniel of Claremore, Darrel Huddleston of Texhoma, Charles Royall of San Angelo, Texas, and Robert Royall of Kodiak, Alaska; two sisters, Eunice Sexton of Guymon and Bossie Webb of Eva; 26 grandchildren; and 21 greatgrandchildren.
