Thrasher, 82, died Monday, July 14, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in the James Church of God with the Rev. Donnie Callaway officiating. Burial will be in Texhoma Cemetery by Bunch- Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mr. Thrasher was born in Duke, Mo., and had lived in the Texhoma area most of his life. He graduated from the eighth grade at the James School in rural Texhoma in 1929. He farmed and ranched before retiring in 1985. He was a member of James Church of God and was an honorary chapter farmer of the FFA. He married Opal C. Bolin in 1950 at Clayton, N.M. Mr. Thrasher was preceded in death by his first wife, Erma Burns; an infant son, Leonard; and an infant daughter, Elizabeth. Survivors include his wife, Opal; a daughter, Rosalie Ingram of Texhoma; a stepdaughter, Shirley Randel of Topeka, Kan.; a stepson, Harold Sauvage of Topeka; five sisters, Clara Thrasher, Jane Clark and Rosella Flanagan, all of Texhoma, Lois Layton of Ignacio, Colo., and Joyce Carter of Amarillo; two brothers, Raymond Thrasher and Clarence Thrasher, both of Texhoma; three grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Texhoma FFA program c / o Bunch- Roberts Funeral Home, Box 1112, Guymon, Okla. 73942.
