All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Augustus Henry Webb GUYMON, Okla. - Augustus Henry "Guss" Webb, 93, died Saturday, May 2, 1998. Services will be Tuesday in Panhandle Bible Center with the Rev. Fred Edminston officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mr. Webb was born in Kimball, W.Va., and moved to the Oklahoma panhandle in 1907. He retired from farming in 1974 and moved into Guymon. He attended the Glenrose Community Church and later attended the Panhandle Bible Center. He married Gladys Lillian Pauley in 1925 at Guymon. She died in 1990. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Ethel Ruth Baker, a son, Marvin Webb, and a grandson. Survivors include two daughters, LaVonna Mitchell of Amarillo and Bernita Lookingbill of Elk City; a son, Melvin Webb of Fairfax; two sisters, Mae Swagerty of Elkhart, Kan., and Louise Fairchild of Boise City; two brothers, John Webb and Floyd "Red" Webb, both of the Eva community; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
