Ethelean Ruth Wood

GUYMON, Okla. - Ethelean Ruth Wood, 82, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Christian Church with the 
Rev. Don Chase, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Elmhurst 
Cemetery by HensonNovak Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wood was born in Sedan, Kan., and had been a Guymon resident since 
1948. She had worked as a social worker for the Department of Human 
Services for many years and more recently worked for Henson-Novak Funeral 
Home. She was an active member of First Christian Church and Order of 
Eastern Star where she had served in many offices.

She married the Rev. Harold O. Wood in 1935 at Sedan. He died in 1992.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Claycomb of Guymon; a son, Harold O. 
"Bud" Wood Jr., of Guymon; a sister, Zeda Brooks of Sedan; a brother, Ralph 
Warmbrodt of Arkansas City, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-
grandchildren.

A Ruth Wood Memorial has been established for the First Christian Church 
Organ Fund. Memorials will be accepted at the Henson-Novak Funeral Home, 
Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942.
