All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Amarillo Globe News 16 Apr 1997 Clive Stocklin White HOOKER, Okla. - Clive Stocklin White, 81, died Sunday, April 13, 1997, at Garden City, Kan. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Hooker Church of Christ with Don Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Hooker Cemetery by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. White was born in Piedmont, Mo. He lived in Greensburg, Kan., with his family and in 1929 moved to Guymon. He attended Bethel School at Guymon. He married Etna Mayfield in 1940 at Hooker. In 1940, he took over running the O. Jolliffe Ranch full time from his father, which he ran for 21 years. He and his wife moved to Ceder Vale, Kan., where they farmed and ranched for 14 years. After retiring in 1976, they moved back to Hooker. He was a member of the Church of Christ and served on the Adams school board for 12 years. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry White of Boys Ranch, Texas, and Terry White of Huron, S.D.; a daughter, Sondra West White of Hutchinson, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
