Wadley, Victoria "Louise" Victoria 'Louise' Wadley, 91, of Edmond, OK died May 4, 2004 in Edmond. She was born September 4, 1912 in Dalhart, TX to Mary and William Douglas. Louise grew up in Texhoma, TX and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. She married Woodson Wadley on September 1, 1934 at her home in Texhoma. They established their home in Kerrick, TX where Louise was a homemaker and did substitute teaching for several years. They later moved to Guymon, OK and then to Hooker, OK in 1950, where they lived until moving to Edmond in 1976. Louise was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Hooker and later at Sunset Heights Baptist Church in Edmond. She taught Sunday School for many years and also played both the organ and piano for church services. Louise had recently become a member of Henderson Hills Baptist Church after moving in with her son and daughter in law. Louise loved music and besides playing the piano, she enjoyed being a member of the Hooker Sweet Adelines. She also loved her china painting classes and belonged to the Edmond China Painters for many years. Louise leaves a legacy behind for all those who knew her as a loving Christian mother and grandmother who played and sang beautiful songs and left delicate painted china for friends and family to cherish. She is survived by her daughter, Rita and husband, Jerry Adelman of Palacios, TX; her son, Lary and wife, Anita of Edmond, OK; one brother, Edward Douglas and wife, Krystyn of Borger, TX; one sister, Frances and husband, Bill Silver of Denton, TX and four grandchildren, Grant, Neal, Jay and Meredith Wadley. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; one infant daughter and her husband of over 60 years, Woodson Wadley. A funeral service will be held for Louise at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Henderson Hills Baptist Church in Edmond, OK. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond. Memorial contributions may be made to he Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma City, 3355 S.
