Marie Ward

GUYMON, Okla. - Marie Ward, 81, died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel 
with the Rev. Billy Martin of First Assembly of God officiating. Burial 
will be in Elmhurst Cemetery.

Mrs. Ward was born in Pawhuska. She attended school in Pawhuska before 
moving to Wynona and graduating from Wynona High School.

She married Roy Charles Ward in 1938 at Bald Hill.

Mrs. Ward ministered in the Assembly of God. She lived in Oklahoma, Texas, 
Kansas and California, where she held meetings and pastored churches.

She moved to Pawhuska, where she worked for Osage County. She later moved 
to Stillwater and worked for 15 years as office manager of the audio-
visual department of Oklahoma State University.

Mrs. Ward was a member of the Assembly of God Church and Order of Eastern 
Star.

Survivors include a son, Donald Ward of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Kay 
Douglass of Branson, Mo., and Rita Butler of Guymon; four brothers, Wiley 
Holden of Stillwater, Jack Holden of Alice, Texas, A.C. Holden of Dewey 
and George Holden of Oklahoma City; a sister, JoAnn Thomas of Corpus 
Christi, Texas; six grandchildren; and a greatgranddaughter.
