Yard, 76, died Tuesday, July 8, 1997, in Payette, Idaho. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Grace Southern Baptist Church with Jimmy Pitson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mr. Yard was born in Barnsdal. He married Lahoma M. Burrows in 1941 at Copan. They moved to the Guymon area from Borger, Texas, in 1944. Mr. Yard retired from Phillips Petroleum Inc. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Guymon Noon Lions Club, Guymon Masonic Lodge and Grace Southern Baptist Church. The Yards recently had moved to Fruitland, Idaho. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sharon K. Maxwell of Fruitland; a brother, David Franklin Yard of Salina; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Grace Southern Baptist Church. Memorials will be accepted at the church office or at Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Okla. 73942. Friends may call at the funeral home between 2 and 9 p.m. Friday.
