"Gene" as he was called, was born in 1900 in Whitewright, TX. " Lucille" was born abt 1905, prob. in Ponder, TX. Many of Gene and Lucilles children were born in Davidson. Gene , worked for the Friso Railroad and was eventually transferred to Carrier & Enid, OK. Lucille was a Avon sales lady for many years, and took in sewing from outside the home. Gene and Lucille had 9 children together. Gene is the son of Joseph N. Travis and Ellen (Butler) Travis, originally from Eastern Tenn. Lucille is the daughter of Mary Elizabeth (Sa(u)nders) Boyle(s) ---Hunt, Co., TX. and William Joseph Boyle(s) from Clinton, TX.
