All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Frederick Memorial Cemetery--Frederick OK Lawton Constitution 12 Jan 2003 James "Jim" Richardson FREDERICK -- Funeral for James William "Jim" Richardson, 90, Frederick, will be at 2 p.m. today in the Burkhardt Chapel of Frederick Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Henry Chennault, intentional interim pastor, First Baptist Church, Frederick, officiating. Mr. Richardson died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, in a Frederick nursing center. Burial will be at Frederick Memorial Cemetery under direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home, Frederick. He was born Jan. 26, 1912, in Frederick to Philo Parmer and Pearl May McClelland Richardson. He attended Frederick schools and graduated from Frederick High School in 1930. He married Rena Mae Harris on April 16, 1936, in Frederick. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was in the European Theatre and the Al-Can Highway. After his military discharge, he was employed by J.C. Penney, where he was a store manager for 42 years. He managed stores in Pitcher, and then moved to Columbus, Kan., where he worked until his retirement in 1972. He served as a civic leader, a grand marshal, a police judge, and was a member of the Lion's Club. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Frederick. Survivors include a brother, Dr. Parmer Richardson and his wife, Jane, Duncanville, Texas; a sister, Esther May Richardson, Frederick; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
