W.J. BOYLES William Joseph Boyle was born September 17, 1877, and died January 02, 1941. Smooth the locks of silver hair On our father's brow with tenderst care. Gather the robe in final fold Around the form so still and cold. Lay on his bosom, pure as snow, The fairest, sweetest flowers that grow. Kiss him and leave him, our heart's delight. His pain is over--he sleeps to-night. After a long and useful life, he died as he had lived, honored, trusted and loved. His life was completed--if work all done, and well done constitutes completion. His few years of Christian life were beautiful from beginning to close, and through all the pain and suffering and sorrows that he met on the way, his faith in God never waivered. But he left us, and today the sun falls upon another grave that hides from sight all that is mortal of a true and noble man, and a multitude of friends and relatives from far and near, whom he looked on in silent prayer. O' the grave! It buries every error; it covers every defect, extinguishes every resentment. From its peaceful bosom springs none but found and tender recollections. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Davidson, Jan. 04, at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Tom Moore, pastor, in charge. Hymns sung were, "Farther Along," "We Shall Meet Some Day," and "Sweet By and By." ----------------------------------------------------------------------- USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with the USGenWeb policy of providing free information on the Internet, this data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
