Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Arborlawn United Methodist Church. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of North Texas, 1840 E. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth 76103. Docia Buckner was born Sept. 7, 1906, in Frederick, Okla., which was Indian territory and before Oklahoma was a state. She completed her education in Oklahoma before moving to Fort Worth 50 years ago. Docia retired from Purina Mills in 1966 and she was a member of Westcliff United Methodist Church. Docia had many hobbies, which included gardening, needlework and traveling. She also had a great love for animals, which included both dogs and cats. Docia never met a stranger and will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Survivors: Niece, Phyllis Propes; great-nephew, Jay Propes; great-great-nephew, James Propes; second cousins, James Harpole and wife, Yvonne, Electa Taylor and Almeda Hill; and many other family members and friends.
