Viewing begins today Tuesday, September 11th, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, from 4-8 p.m. Memorial services will be on Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. Milton William Klase was born in the rural agricultural community of Fredrick, Oklahoma on February 1, 1922, the eighth child of Edward and Ethel (Chubbuck) Klase, one of four sons and six daughters. In 1958 after farming the family homeplace Milton relocated with his wife, Leola and his three children, Patricia, Kenneth and Gayla to Arvin, California, later settling in Lamont, California, in 1966. Milton worked for the Arvin Edison Water Storage District before spending 22 years with Lamont School District, and then became Maintenance & Grounds Supervisor of Mountain View School. Milton is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ethel Klase; his sisters, Thelma Witherspoon, Gladys Robinson, Fern McKinley; and brothers, Paul, Leroy and Elmer Klase. Milton is survived in death by his loving wife, Leola of 65 years; daughter, Patricia and husand, Tony Thomas; son, Kenneth and wife, Joyce Klase; daughters, Gayla and husband, Roger Anderson; 6 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; 3 sisters, Lela Thomas, Louise Carnes and Leona Carnes Brence.
