Patton, 68, state tax auditor and early-day state banker, died Wednesday at his home, 215 NW ?, after a long illness. Former president of the Oklahoma State bank in Frederick he was a native of Ohio. He moved to Lawton in 1903 and entered the bankiing business there. For 18 years prior to 1925 he was president of the Oklahoma State bank in Frederick, and also served as president of the Frederick Chamber of commerce. At the time of his death he was employed by the motor fuels division of the state tax commission as auditor. He was a member of the First Methodist church. Servivors include his wife, Vera R. Patton, home address; a son, R.R. Tulsa; a daughter, Mrs. A.W. Wood, Smackover, Ark.; and two grandchildren. Serivces will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Street and Draper funeral home, with burial in Frederick.
