This is a newspaper clipping that was probably published in the 
Davidson, Fredrick or Tillman Co. news, in May 1932. 
Shower For Mrs. Coleman 

Davidson, May 21--A group of friends entertained with a shower 
complimentary to Mrs. L.A. Coleman, Friday afternoon at the Davidson 
Baptist Church. 

The church was decorated in blue and white, and a large chair in the 
same colors was marked by two large vases of blue and white larkspur for 
the honoree. 

Mrs. Coleman entered the church to the strains of "Mendelssohn's Wedding 
March" with Miss Leah Thorn at the piano. The following program was 
presented: 

Vocal solo by Miss Lois McElroy, with Miss Francis Wilson at the piano, 
reading, Juanita Keyes, tap dance, Earlyn Gillum, with Ruth Ella Bacon 
at the piano; reading, Ruth Ella Bacon; vocal duet, Miss Billye Engel 
and Beulah Lovelady, with Miss Edna Smith at the piano, reading, Edna 
Keyes; reading, Charles Renfroe. 

Three large baskets were then placed before Mrs. Coleman, laden with 
many lovely gifts. 

Refreshments of ice cream and cake were served to the following guests:
