	Thursday night at a delightful informal affair, given at the Cody home on South Baltimore avenue, Mr. and 
Mrs. H.W. Cody announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Maud Alice Cody to Mr. Emil Richard Albert.  The 
date set for the wedding is March 24, and it will be a very quiet home affair.
	Both young people are popular Tulsans, numbering their friends by the score.

	The wedding of Miss Maude Alice Cody and Mr. Emil Richard Albert will be solemnized this afternoon at the 
home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Cody, 1636 South Boston avenue.  The wedding is to be quiet affair, 
only the immediate relatives and a few intimate friends of the contracting parties having been bidden to witness 
the ceremony, at which Rev. Percy Knickerbocker will be the officiating clergyman.
	The out-of-gown guests will be Mrs. Fred Albert, of Pierce City, Mo., mother of the groom; Mrs. William 
Mills and Miss Mildred Mills, of Monette, Mo.; Mrs. Alice Poundstone and Miss Blanche Patterson, of Joplin, Mo.
	The couple will leave for a short honeymoon trip in the East, after which they will be at home to their 
many friends at 228 West Ninth street, until the completion of their own home, now being erected in Carson Place.

	The bad weather had a depressing effect on the marriage license bureau yesterday, and the usual Saturday 
number dropped down to three.  Those who received licenses were Thomas B. Brown, 32, and Mrs. Alice Patrick, 29, 
both of Tulsa; Emil Richard Albert, 30, and Miss Maude Alice Cody, 25, both of Tulsa, and Richard Milddleton, 22, 
and Mary Etta Johnson, 18, both colored, of Tulsa.
