Those who received licenses yesterday were Harold Bodley, 24, of Chanute, Kan., and Margaret Gruber, 21, of Tulsa; Harvey Fike, 22, and Mattie Snead, 19, both of Tulsa; Sam Hart, 27, and Nora Scott, 19, both of Owasso; William C. Dowell, 20, and Bessie Springer, 18, both of Tulsa, and Herbert Gibson, 30, and Rebecca Pace, 20, both of Tulsa. Tulsa Daily World. (Tulsa, Indian Terr.), Vol. 7, No. 108, Ed. 1 Sunday, January 21, 1912 A prettily appointed wedding ceremony was performed Wednesday evening at 9:30 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pace on South Cincinnati avenue when Miss Reta Pace and Mr. Herbert Gibson were united in marriage. Preceding the ceremony, Professor Critchett sang “Because.” Rev. Wickizer was the officiating clergyman. Miss Archer attended the bride, while Mr. Carle Pace acted as the best man for the groom. Immediately after the ceremony the happy couple left for Corsicana, Tex., where the groom’s parents reside. Mr. and Mrs. Gibson will make their home in Houston, Tex., where Mr. Gibson is in business. Guests present were: Mr. and Mrs. Guy Eaton, Mr. and Mrs. Evarts Ivan, Mr. and Mrs. Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Con Linn, Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Critchett, Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Williams, Mr. and Mrs. WIckizer, Mesdames Miller, Amanda Ivan, Jennings, Misses Archer, Morle, and Laurie Cobb, Messrs. Daugherty, King Ridenour and Dr. Ivan.
