Miss Blanche L. Israel, 22, and Leon Le Grant, 23, the Tulsa couple, announced their common law marriage through the newspapers in Wichita. They had been acquainted three months. Le Grant became involved in a religious dispute with E.F. Israel, the girl’s father, in Tulsa, and went home with him to continue the argument. The couple met and became engaged. Israel is a writer on religious subjects. The girl is of a romantic nature. The couple got their idea of a marriage without the usual forms from a decision of an Illinois judge.
