POPULAR YOUNG NEWSPAPER MAN IS MARRIED
Chris Pearson and Miss Ruth Trees Were Quietly Married at Claremore Saturday
	Details of the culmination of a pretty romance were learned yesterday when it became known that 
Chris Pearson, who is connected with advertising department of The World, had married Miss Ruth Trees 
of Tulsa at Claremore Saturday.
	The couple have been “friendly” for several years, their acquaintance lasting since the time that 
Pearson, a “cub” in the newspaper business, met Miss Trees, then a high school girl.  Later Chris left the 
city and ran a weekly newspaper in Missouri.  Miss Trees became a teacher in the Tulsa City schools.  But 
ever so often Chris would return to the city.  Six months ago he came back for good.  The friends of the 
couple were greatly surprised when they learned of the wedding at Claremore.
	Mr. and Mrs. Pearson are probably as popular young people as were ever married here.
	They will make their home in Tulsa.  Miss Trees is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Trees, 1314 
South Cheyenne avenue.  Pearson’s parents do not reside here.

IN SOCIETY
	Saturday evening at six thirty o’clock, Miss Ruth D. Trees and Mr. Christ Pearson were quietly 
married in Claremore, the Reverend Cameron, of the First M.E. church officiating at the ceremony  which 
was witnessed by but a couple of friends, Mrs. M. Hughes and Miss Vician Mullins who came to Claremore 
from Tulsa.
	The wedding party returned to Tulsa at eleven p.m. and repaired to the home of the bride’s parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Trees at 1314 South Cheyenne avenue.
	The announcement of the wedding will come as a complete surprise to the many friends of the bride 
and groom.
	Mrs. Pearson is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Trees and has lived in Tulsa for a number 
of years.  During the past two years she has been a teacher in the Lindsey school.  Her many friends are 
extending heartiest congratulations.
	Mr. Pearson is from Middleton, Mo., where his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christ Pearson are among the 
prominent citizens both in business and social circles.  He is at present associated with one Tulsa Daily 
World.
	Mr. and Mrs. Pearson will be at home to their friends at 1506 South Boston avenue.
