Tulsa Daily World. (Tulsa, Indian Terr.), Vol. 5, No. 312, Ed. 1 Sunday, September 18, 1910
	At a perfectly appointed party yesterday afternoon to which the members of the Duodecim 
Puellae Club were invited, Mrs. C.D. Reed, 117 North Easton, announced the engagement of her 
daughter, Miss Bertha Mae Wentling and Mr. Ernest Seigismund.  The wedding will be September 27 
at the First M.E. church at 7:15 in the morning.  A honeymoon trip will follow.  The afternoon 
was spent at games and after an ice course the announcement was made in the cleverest way.  The 
girls present to extend congratulations to the member of their club were Misses Florence Nance, 
Florence McNichol, Laura Latham, Alma Waldrop, Lena Davisson and Mrs. Marvin McCarty.

	The personnel of the Siegusmund-Wentling bridal party includes Miss Florence Vance, maid 
of honor; Misses Elliott, Thompson, Rose, Latham, Kinnear and Davidson as ushers; Mrs. Ciulo to 
play the wedding music; Gerd Tonjes, best man and Benj. Ford and Clarence Swigelson attendants.

	The marriage of Miss Bertha Mae Wentling and Mr. Ernest Siegismund was celebrated at 7:15 
yesterday morning at the First Methodist church, on Boulder Avenue.  Sweet simplicity marked the 
decorations of the church, palms and ferns being used to outline the chancel railing and to fashion 
the marriage altar.  Miss Letha Rose, Miss Bertha Mae Kinnear and Miss Lena Davidson were ushers.  
The bridal song, “A Garden of Roses,” was sung by Miss Ethel Elliott and followed by Lohengrin’s 
wedding music, played by Mrs. Ernest Clulo, which announced the entrance of the bridal party.  In 
the procession were the groom’s attendants, Messrs. Benj. Ford and Clarence Swigelson; the bride’s 
attendants, Miss Laura Lathan, Miss Flo Thompson, the ushers and the group was met at the altar  
ence Vance, preceding the bride.  The entrance was made to the left aisle and the group was met 
at the altar by the groom, his best man, Gerd Tonjes, and Rev. James W. Baker, who entered from 
the right.  The Episcopal ring service was used.  The party left the church to the strains of 
Mendelssohn’s wedding music.  Miss Wentling wore a traveling suit of white cloth and a modish hat.  
Her attendants and ushers wore white cloth gowns.  The honeymoon trip includes Kansas City and other 
points.  Mr. and Mrs. Siegsmund will be at home at 905 South Cheyenne after October 15.  The bride 
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Reed and has few rivals for popularity in her set.  The groom 
is one of the esteemed employes of the Gulf Pipe Line Company.
