(Tulsa, Indian Terr.), Vol. 7, No. 91, Ed. 1 Tuesday, January 2, 1912 YOUNG TULSA COUPLE SAID TO HAVE ELOPED Miss Clint Glass and Benjamin B. Wells Married at Union City, Tennessee News reached Tulsa yesterday of the marriage at Union City, Tenn., last Thursday night, of Miss Clint Glass, a well known and popular society girl of this place, and Benjamin B. Wells, a young attorney, also of Tulsa. The marriage license was issued in St. Louis. The marriage was somewhat in the nature of an elopement and Miss Glass’ mother, Mrs. T.E. Brummett, of South Elwood avenue, this city, knew nothing of the affair until it was all over and she was notified by wire of what had taken place. Miss Glass left here about two weeks ago for the ostensible purpose of spending the winter in Tennessee and Florida. Mr. Wells followed her to Tennessee, where the marriage took place. Mrs. Brummett, when reached over the telephone last night, admitted the truth of the marriage report. She knew nothing of the immediate plans of the couple, but it is thought they will make their future home in Tulsa. Tulsa Daily World.
