Jan. 1979 Investigators were checking the possibility an arsonist set the fire that killed two children here Sunday night. District Fire Chief J.D. MADDOX said the children were aged eight months and two years. He refused to release their names pending the notification of their father, who works out of state. A neighbor who shares the other half of the duplex where the fire occured told investigators the mother of the children apparently had left them alone briefly while she went to the nearby grocery store. Mrs. Pam STEPHENS said she fled through her back door with her baby and dog when she saw flames leaping across the front porch. The fire department received its first call about the fire at 9:04 p.m. * * * * ARTICLE: INVESTIGATORS STUDY BLAZES Tulsa, Okla. Jan. 1979 ARTICLE: Pause and Ponder, Joe M. CUMMINGS and Gerald L.
