She was born May 31, 1918, in Dustin to Harry Malcolm and Beulah Lee (Henry) Kendall. She was reared and educated in Dustin where she played basketball and was in Glee Club. She graduated with the Dustin High School Class of 1936. She continued her education at East Central State College in Ada where she received a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1943. Eloise went on to pursue her master's degree from Oklahoma University (OU) in 1950. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. She taught school almost 40 years and was a member of OEA, NEA, Classroom Teacher Association and Parent Teacher Association. She was a faithful longtime member of the First Christian Church in Owasso. She was an avid fan of sports, enjoying baseball and football. She loved to travel and has visited many places. Most of all, she was a very faithful woman of the Lord, enjoying reading the Bible. She enjoyed and loved her family and made sure everyone in the family had a Bible to read. She wanted to make sure her family knew the Lord. This was her first and foremost goal and her mission in life. Her sweet Christian spirit will be missed by all. Loving family members include one brother, Frank Kendall, of Owasso; one sister, Faye Minyard, of Midwest City; three nieces; one nephew; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives. She was preceded is death by her husband and parents. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006 at First Christian Church in Owasso with Ben Killion officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Gene Austin, Freddie Freuchting, Buddy Sherrill, Earl Ready, Charlie Stewart and Rogelos Herandos. Committal services and interment followed at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006 with a graveside service at Dustin Cemetery in Dustin. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
