James Henry Baxter, 80, a retired farmer died today. He lived at 
513 S. 73rd W. Ave.
Mr. Baxter came to Tulsa from Stillwell five years ago. He formerly 
lived many years at Fort Cobb.
Surviving are is widow, Ida Mae; five sons, Clyde of 7300 W. Seventh 
St., Clifford of Fort Cobb, Carl of Kennewick, Wash., Donald of 
Calexico, Calif., and Ted of Pinole, Calif.; two daughters, 
Mrs. Earl Palmer of 7249 W. Seventh St. and Mrs. Mary Vandevort of 
Richmond, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Nora Williams of Fort Cobb; 
19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The R. L. Mobley Funeral Home of Sand Springs is in charge.

The funeral for James Henry Baxter of 513 S. 73rd W. Ave. will be held 
at 2 p.m. Sunday in the R. L. Mobley Funeral Home Sand Springs. Burial 
will be in Woodland Cemetery there. Mr. Baxter, 80, died Tuesday.

JAMES BAXTER'S FUNERAL SUNDAY
Services for James Henry Baxter, 80, of 513 S. 73rd W. Ave., a retired 
farmer and former longtime resident of Fort Cobb, will be held at 2 p.m. 
Sunday in the R. L. Mobley Funeral Home Chapel, Sand Springs. He died 
today in a Tulsa hospital.
Baxter came to Tulsa five years ago from Stillwell. He was a native of 
Texas.
Surviving are the widow, Ida Mae; five sons, Clyde Baxter, 7300 W. 7th St.; 
Clifford Baxter, Fort Cobb; Carl Baxter, Kennewick, Wash.; Donald Baxter, 
Calexico, Calif.; and Ted Baxter, Pinole, Calif.; two daughters, 
Mrs. Earl Palmer of 7249 W. 7th St., and Mrs. Mary Vandevort, Richmond, 
Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Nora Williams, Fort Cobb; 19 grandchildren and

Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Sand Springs.
