He was born on August 23, 1914 in Berwin, OK to Matt E. and Bertha Mae (Card) Brown. Mr. Brown moved to Muskogee as a young child and called Muskogee home. He was employed with Corning Glass until his retirement in 1978. In addition, throughout his working years and after retirement, he was a Carpenter, Rancher, Dairy Farmer and Home Builder. Mr. Brown helped build the original Mt. View Baptist Church of Muskogee in 1930 and was a member from that time until his death. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt in his spare time. Mr. Brown is survived by: his wife, Georgia E. Brown of the home; a son, Matt and Susan Brown of Tulsa and their children, Angie Ratliff Smith and David Smith, Jr. of Edmond and Spencer Wade Brown of Tulsa; daughter, Mary Murphy of Tulsa and her children, Kimm Coleman of Tulsa, Kelli Murphy of Salt Lake City, UT, and her grandchild, Jennifer Perrine and fiance Matt Blair of Edmond; daughter, Dorothy and Jack Brantley and their children of Ft. Smith, AR; daughter, Glenda Brown and her children of Ft. Smith, AR; numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives that he loved so much. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Bill Brown; and 2 sisters, Josephine Forister and Mary Ellen Hogan. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
