She married Donald Carpenter on January 3, 1948. Jewel was a member of the Oklahoma Cattleman Association, Oklahoma Pecan Growers Association and Broken Arrow Round Up Club. She was the owner of the Cloud Nine Pecan farms and Cracking since early 1980's. Also retired from the Union Meat Processors. Jewel took great pride in being a wife, mother and a grandmother. She was also a fond animal lover. She went to be with her Lord on May 8, 2001, in Broken Arrow, OK at the age of 70 years. Survivors: Husband, Donald of 51 years; Daughter, LaDonna Monsteller; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Kennard Funeral Service in Broken Arrow, OK.
