DOWELL -- Clyde Sr. , 87, died  May 5, 2001. Born in Arcadia, OK 
to Clyde and Ethel Fowler Dowell on July 10, 1925. Attended school 
in Luther, OK where he played sports, especially basketball which he 
lettered in the 4 years of high school. Married to Marie Perreault 
in 1947. Was a member of the Disciple's of Christ Church. Member of 
the Brookside Masonic Lodge # 538 and was a 32nd De gree Mason, he was 
made a Chartered Member of The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of 
Free Masonry in Tulsa. Became a Shriner in 1959 and was a member of 
The Akdar Temple. Also a member of the of the Oil Capitol Rod and Gun 
Club for several years and thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. 
He is preceded in death by a son, Clyde E. Dowell and daughter, 
Joanne E. Dowell. He is survived by: his wife, Marie; son, Robert 
Dowell and his wife, Peggy, Dallas, TX; daughter-in-law, Doris Dowell, 
Edmond, OK; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson.
Interment Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, OK.
