Born in Arcadia, OK to Clyde and Ethel Fowler Dowell on July 10, 1925. Attended school in Luther, OK where he played sports, especially basketball which he lettered in the 4 years of high school. Married to Marie Perreault in 1947. Was a member of the Disciple's of Christ Church. Member of the Brookside Masonic Lodge # 538 and was a 32nd De gree Mason, he was made a Chartered Member of The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry in Tulsa. Became a Shriner in 1959 and was a member of The Akdar Temple. Also a member of the of the Oil Capitol Rod and Gun Club for several years and thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by a son, Clyde E. Dowell and daughter, Joanne E. Dowell. He is survived by: his wife, Marie; son, Robert Dowell and his wife, Peggy, Dallas, TX; daughter-in-law, Doris Dowell, Edmond, OK; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson. Interment Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, OK.
