He was a decorated World War II veteran, serving with the 8th Air Force in Europe including the Normandy offensive. He lived in Tulsa, Okla., after the war before moving to Collegedale in 1983. Frank, a devoted husband and loving father, was a member of Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Glyda Rigney Stone; three children, Ron Stone, Donna Spurlock, Chris Ramirez; four grandchildren, Kelly Sink, Katie Ramirez, Stephanie Spurlock, Abby Ramirez; sons-in-law, Joe Spurlock, Ted Ramirez; grandson-in-law, Josh Sink; daughter-in-law, Regina Stone. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ed Wright officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. today, and one hour prior to the service Friday at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
