"G.B." Harris, 83, died Sunday, March 5, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Brewer, minister, and the Rev. James Conner of Shamrock officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Harris was born in Haleyville, Ala., and moved to Shamrock in 1920. He worked as a car dealer for many years and was a member of Bible Baptist Church. He married Garland Ruth Coates in 1953 at Clovis, N.M. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Chalones Harris, in 1953. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jimmie Harris of El Paso and Roy Harris of Friendswood; two daughters, Maggie Harrel of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Georgia Lanham of Dumas; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
