Our beloved Lucy went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2007. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2007 at The First Church of the Nazarene, 1974 E. McAndrews Rd., in Medford. Lucy was born to Clara and Walter Cunningham on December 17, 1930 in Tulsa, Okla. As a child her family moved to California where, as a teenager, she worked for Lockheed Manufacturing in the Los Angeles area, and later worked as a cashier at Von's Supermarkets for many years. In the early 1970s she moved to Medford, Ore. where she was a much-loved checker at Sherm's Thunderbird market for many years. While working at Sherm's, dear friends arranged a blind date with Gordon Gillmore, whom she married a few months later on September 16, 1974. Lucy was a manager for the JAFRA Skin Care Company, and was honored by the company for serving them for over 40 years. Taking convention trips with her JAFRA friends was always something that brought her joy. Lucy blessed many lives through her business and grew several extremely close friendships. It's amazing how many friends referred to her as their "other mother." Lucy was always there, for anyone in need, with a gentle word, thoughtful deed and loving embrace. Most of all, Lucy loved her husband and family. She never stopped letting everyone feel special, letting everyone know how much she loved them, and even the youngest of her great-grandchildren ran to her with joy saying, "I love you grammy Lucy." Lucy was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Barbara Stevens. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Gillmore; sister, Loretta Morrow; brother, Leon Cunningham; daughter, Cheryl Coonrod; son, Russell Ritchie; step-daughters, Robyn Huft and Cindy McGinnis; grandchildren, Shannon DeSantos, Michael Stevens, Lori Robinson, Roxanne Coonrod, Nathan Huft, Shannon Aitken and Shauna McGee; and six great-grandchildren. Each and everyone of her multitude of family and friends, whose lives she made better just by being loved by her, knows that today Heaven is even more beautiful because Lucy is there. LUCY LOVED EVERYONE AND EVERYONE LOVED LUCY!
