"Jay", Jr. Tulsa petroleum engineer and former Marine Corps pilot, passed away December 31,1999. Born August 2, 1933 to James C. and Corinne Hunt in Ft. Scott, KS. Jay was a graduate of Tulsa's Central High School and the University of Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering. Following graduation, Hunt served overseas during the Korean conflict, rising to the rank of Major, USMC. Upon his return, Jay pursued a successful career in the oil and gas business, working with several companies, primarily in Oklahoma and Texas. He is survived by: his wife, Deedra Alderson Hunt; sisters, Emily Paschal Hunt MacIvor and Jan Hunt Kirkland; children, daughter, Cathy Rose and husband, Don, daughter, Jayne Selman and husband, Jim, daughter, Patty Hunt Rowan and husband, Rob, son, James Chapman Hunt III (Jake) and wife, Becki and daughter, Jodie Rene' Alderson; grandchildren, Hunt and Gibson Rose, Molly and Annie Kate Selman, Jessie and Jack Rowan, and Harley. Jay brought smiles and laughter to all he met. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Floral Haven Funeral Home. Service scheduled for Tuesday, January 4, 2000 at 2:30 p.m., Floral Haven Chapel located at 6500 South 129th East Ave.
