Rev. Bobby Reid officiated. Burial was at Bixby Cemetery under the direction of Jack Selby, Bixby Funeral Service. Mr.Earp was born Dec.21,1931, to Sarah Eva Earp, at Jenks. He died Friday, Dec.3, 2004 at his home in Jenks. He was 72. Mr.Earp enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951. He was employed with the city of Jenks for 25 years, retiring as Jenks Public Works Authority Director. The Leon "Red" Earp Picnic and Trail was named in his honor. He was a member of Beaver Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and three baby sons. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Earp, of the home; son Ronald Earp and his wife, Dobin; granddaughter Jennifer and her husband, Jessie; grandson Aaron Earp; a half sister, two nephews, and five great grandchildren.
