He was born Aug. 4, 1948 in Tulsa, Okla. and was raised in San Pedero, Calif., where he graduated from San Pedro High School. After his graduation, Ron drifted around the country looking for a place to settle & chose Twin Falls, where he resided and worked for the last 23 years. Ron met & befriended many people in the Magic Valley, his Idaho family. Dave Denton, Rod Conner, Clint Dyer, Chuck Hahn, & Bob & Jeryl McCril to name only a few. Only recently, Ron found happiness and love with Nancy Smith, who will deeply miss him. Ron is survived by his mother, Ruth Sterling of Long Beach, Calif.; three brothers, James Sterling of St. Albans, WV, Thomas Sterling of Long Beach, Calif. & Kenneth Sterling of Worthington, Ohio; two Sisters, Barbara Kirsch of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Janice Spinnelli of Desert Hotsprings, Calif.; along with his niece, Kathleen Sterling & her daughter Heather Lopez; nephew, Elton & his two girls, Elizabeth & Emily, only to name a few of the many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. He is also survived by his father, Albert Lingenfelter of Corona, Calif. He was preceded in death by his Stepfather, James L. Sterling. Friends may call Thursday, April 22, 1999, from 9 am. to 8 pm. And Fri. from 9 am. to 1 pm. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls. A celebration of Ron's life will be held Sat. Apr. 24, 1999 at 11 am at Rock Creek Park. Please join with the family at the park to commemorate Ron's life.
