Pastor Leonard N. Murphy of Truth Tabernacle will officiate. Ms. Mayner, 82, of Medford, died Wednesday (May 30, 2001) at her home. She was born April 17, 1919, in Tulsa, Okla. Ms. Mayner worked as a waitress, and also as a grocery clerk at Safeway in California, retiring in 1982. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1984 from Visalia, Calif. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. Ms. Mayner enjoyed writing songs and stories, sewing and reupholstering furniture. Survivors include three sons, Leonard Noel Murphy Jr., Medford, Steven Colen Murphy, Killeen, Texas, and Michael Duane Murphy, San Diego; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters; and three brothers. Arrangements: Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives and Crematory.
