By World's own Service 3/20/99 Frank E. Neely left a legacy of stonework in Tulsa when he died last Saturday. He was 68. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Moore's Southlawn Funeral Home Chapel. A native of Tulsa, Neely learned the business of using heavy stones in construction from his family, and in the late 1950s he was able to start Neely Stone Co. The company is recognized in the commercial and residential building markets in the Tulsa area. Stonework for the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, the University of Tulsa's Reynolds Center, shopping malls and homes throughout the city is credited to Neely's craftsmanship. Neely enjoyed playing golf and bowling and was an avid TU fan. In recognition of his top season ticket sales, he was awarded a lifetime pass to all TU athletic events. He never missed a TU football or baseball game. Another one of his loves was his association with his Central High School class of 1949. Neely was a regular at the class' monthly luncheons and never missed a reunion. He was a member of the Tulsa Home Builders Association and earned the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Duckie Neely; a son, Frankie Joe Neely; a stepson, Matthew Wooliver; and a stepdaughter, Mollie Wooliver, all of Tulsa. Friends are making contributions to The Salvation Army and University of Tulsa athletics. (submitter's relationship to Fran NEELY - first cousin once removed)
