Bowden 1924 - 2007 Nellie M. Bowden entered eternal life on Monday, October 15, 2007 at St. John Hospital in Tulsa, Ok. She entered this life on Wednesday, November 12, 1924 in McIntosh County, Oklahoma to Willie and Katie Harkleroad Jamison. She grew up around the Central High area, graduating from Central High School in 1942. She met, fell in love and later married Marion Bowden at Shady Grove on Tuesday May 26, 1942. She was a homemaker that loved to take care of her family and garden. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Checotah where she taught Sunday School. Nellie attended Indian Capitol Vo-tech where she obtained her L.P.N. training. After graduation she started working in the nursery at Muskogee General Hospital. She retired in 1989. Nellie later moved her church membership to First Baptist Church of Wainwright where she was a very active member. Nellie is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Marion on April 15, 1985, Daughters Carolyn Ogden and Katie Lee Williams, Granddaughter Amy Ogden, Brother Wayne Jamison and Sisters Jessie Pope and Goldie Bensley. She is lovingly survived by her children, Fred Bowden and his wife Katie; Daughter, Anna Chapman and her husband Dwain all of Oktaha, Ok. Grandchildren, Rita Massengale, Mark Bowden and his wife Ashley, Netta Bean, Candy Baker and her husband Bobby, Tommy Williams, Tim Williams and his wife Lisa, Keith Ogden and his wife Angie and Garry Chapman. A brother David Jamison and his wife Daisy of Oregon. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 19, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Checotah with Reverend David Yarbrough, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Wainwright officiating. Committal prayers and Interment will follow in Middleton Chapel Cemetery, Oktaha, Ok. with her grandsons Keith Ogden, Mark Bowden, Tommy Williams, Tim Williams, Garry Chapman and Seth Russell serving as Casket Bearers.
