Born January 18, 1920 in Vanoss, OK, the son of William Carl and Virgie (Shaw) Auten. Graduated from OSU with a B.S. Married Wanda Kelty, May 28, 1948 in Stillwater, OK. Retired after 35 years from Sunshine Biscuit Co. where he was a Sales Manager. Member of Memorial Baptist Church, The Optimist Club of Wagoner, OK and the Southeast Bears Athletic Assn. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII. Survivors: wife of 51 years, Wanda; son, Rick Auten and his wife, Lisa; daughters, Gail Branch and her husband, Tom and Carol Auten, all of Tulsa; grandchildren, Tommy and Matthew Branch, Katie and Allison Kirby and Brent and Brian Auten; sisters, Wilma Morris of Pittsburg, KS, Mary Johnson of Bartlesville, OK and Carol Vaeth of Oklahoma City; brother, John Auten of Baton Rouge, LA.
