Dec. 31, 2003 at the St. Francis Hospital. She was 98 years old. Mrs. King was born Oct. 27, 1905 in Covington, Tennessee to William Monroe Smith and Effie D. Young she moved to Oklahoma from Tennessee when she was three months old , she grew up in Gould, and moved to Miami, Oklahoma from Oklahoma City during the War years. She was a member of the First Christian Church and to the Bethel Sunday School class in Miami, Ok. She married William Harvey King Dec.30, 1923, he preceded her in death on May 22, 1962. She was also preceded in death by her parents: one brother, Arnold Smith: three sisters , Wilma Smith- Trainer, Katie Bell Johnson, and Virginia Kelly, and three daughters , Dorthy Stone , Ora Lee King, and Barbara King.Survivors include one Granddaughter, Debra Stone, Paul and her husband Robert of Tulsa: one sister Lora Pittman of Tulsa, two great grandchildren Justin Paul of Tulsa, and Robin Paul state of Florid and one gt. gt. Grandchild Brook Paul of Tulsa, Ok. The family will receive friends from 3 - 4 today at the Cooper - Althouse Funeral Home in Miami. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chappel with the Rev. Leon Weece officiating. Private burial will be at GAR Cemetery. Pallbearers will be:Justin Paul, John Thiesing, Kyle Highsmith, Tom Panter, Kevin Panter,and Darrell Simmons. The family suggest memorial donations be made to The First Christian Church building fund.
